Pallet racking is the most widely used racking system in warehousing. It takes Euro pallets, flat pallets and mesh pallet boxes and gives direct access to every single pallet.

Used heavy-duty racking: how much does pallet racking hold?

In the warehouse, pallet racking is often called heavy-duty racking. Two figures show how much a rack holds. The shelf load is the weight one level takes, that is one pair of beams between two frames. The bay load is the load of all levels of one bay between two frames together. You will find the shelf load on every item and the bay load on most. Calculate with the weight of your heaviest pallet, not the average.

Buying used pallet racking: what you should know

• Origin and condition: Our used goods come from dismantled installations. Frames and beams show the usual signs of use from warehouse operation, such as scratches and wear on the bearing surfaces. If you have questions about a particular item, give us a call and we will go through the material with you.
• Same manufacturer, same system: Frames and beams from different manufacturers generally cannot be combined. If you want to extend an existing installation, check the manufacturer. • Quantity to suit your needs: The offers are described as complete installations with the number of pallet positions. We are happy to put together larger or smaller quantities or a different configuration from our stock.

How pallet racking is built

Pallet racking consists of upright frames with system perforation and horizontal beams on which the pallets are placed. The beams hook into the perforation of the frames, and every manufacturer uses its own connection system. Frame height, frame depth and beam length determine how many pallets fit per bay and level and what loads the rack takes.

The higher the rack and the more levels it has, the greater the structural requirements. Load, level heights and aisle width should therefore be settled before you buy. We help you with the planning.

Collection, delivery and installation

All prices are ex warehouse Kaarst. You are welcome to collect, and loading is free of charge. We organise delivery across Germany. Transport costs depend on quantity and destination; we will tell you on request. On request, our installation partners handle installation and dismantling, including extensions to existing installations; we organise scheduling, transport and coordination for you.

Matching your pallet racking

For goods that are not stored on pallets, such as larger parts and cartons, wide-span shelving is the right addition. To move goods in and out you need the right equipment: you will find used pallet trucks and forklifts among our industrial trucks. Need additional racking only for a limited period? Then you can also hire racking. And if you are dismantling an installation, we buy used racking installations.

No. The offers are described as complete installations; we put together larger or smaller quantities from our stock.

Do you deliver, or do I have to collect?

Both are possible: collection in Kaarst with free loading, or delivery by freight forwarder within Germany. More under How your enquiry works.

Do you handle installation and dismantling?
