Design and how it works

The basic structure of a cantilever racking system consists of sturdy vertical steel columns to which horizontal cantilever arms are attached. These carry the actual load and allow goods to be stored without obstructive front columns.

The cantilever arms and columns are made from solid metal sections and, depending on the system, are slotted, clamped or bolted together. This means the racking can be flexibly adapted and extended.

Additional roll-off stops at the ends of the cantilever arms prevent the goods from rolling off and increase safety in the warehouse.

Single-sided and double-sided cantilever racking

Cantilever racking is available in various versions, depending on the place of use and the warehouse structure:

Single-sided cantilever racking is usually installed against walls. It has an L-shaped construction and makes particularly efficient use of the available space.

Double-sided cantilever racking is free-standing and can be accessed from both sides. It is based on a T-shaped construction and is ideal for use in the middle of the warehouse.
